Heaven Blessed Stamp Set

Heaven Blessed stamp set is all about the sweet, innocent images of Easter.  The artwork in this Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini Catalog set really capture the soft, pure imagery of Easter.  

This lovely circlular card was made by one of my swapping buddies, June Leyendecker.  The color scheme and soft watercoloring perfectly coordinate with the sweet bunnies.  As shown in this handmade card--without a greeting on the outside, Heaven Blessed stamp set is not restricted to Easter.  The bunnies and chicks images will easily transition into baby cards/scrapbook pages as well as petting zoo or farm type themes.  Actually, anyone loving the soft side of nature will love the bunnies and chicks in Heaven Blessed!

Punch Art Chicks

Grab your kids and make my little punch art chicks to get ready for Easter and spring!  Make an entire flock:)  These are so much fun to make with various punches.  I will list the supplies I used (this is actually my daughter Tiffany's creation), but you can substitute other punches you may have to achieve a similar result.  Sandwiched between the two scallop circles is a Peppermint Patty.  So cute!  Your kids (and you!) will love handing these out to friends, family, and neighbors.

Send Me Soaring

For today's Saturday Sample, here is a handmade card using the Send Me Soaring stamp set from the Stampin Up! Occasions Mini Catalog as well as the gorgeous, enormously popular Everyday Enchantment DSP from the Sale-a-Bration brochure (that means it is free!).  Here is it is used as a background piece as well as the kites--done with the paper-piecing technique whereby you just stamp on your dsp and then cut out just outside the lines.

This card, made by Bobbie Ganley--one of my swapping buddies--features a color scheme using our In Colors Pool Party and Lucky Limeade.  Love them!  They are super-versatile, gender-neutral, and just plain fun!

My Friend Stamp Set

Have you seen the gorgeous My Friend stamp set on page 139 of Stampin' Up!'s Idea Book & Catalog?  It's a beautiful stamp set that is easy to use and has big, bold designs.  This is another of the many fabulous swaps I receive, and  the My Friend stamp set has been paired with the Fancy Fan Letterpress Plate for the Big Shot. 

Although this card has a fancy look, it's quite simple to make.  The Big Shot does all the work with the Fancy Fan Letterpress Plate for the background.  Additionally, there are only two colors used here:  Rose Red and Very Vanilla.  Once again, we have a very stylish handmade card using just a few supplies.

New Friends

One of the MANY benefits of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is all the new friends you make.  I don't know about you, but I can always use another friend!  Friends are one of the real treasures in life.  Whether you are an introvert or extrovert, stamping has a way of bringing people into your life.

My team (group) of demonstrators are wondeful ladies from a variety of backgrounds, budgets, family lives, ethnicities, and careers.  Some are single, some are married; some are career ladies, some are SAHMs; some are veteran stampers, some are beginners.  My point is that all of us are different, yet we come together through stamping.  We are "there" for each other.  Except for being Stampin' Up! Demonstrators on the same team, we might not know each other.  Because we are, we are friends!

Decor Elements

Stampin' Up! Decor Elements is a fun line of products featuring the award-winning Stampin' Up! art in self-adhesive vinyl form--it's vinyl wall art!  They can be used to bring beauty and fun to walls, mirrors, windows, lockers, and more.  I have really enjoyed decorating my spaces with Decor Elements.

As of the end of the current Idea Book & Catalog, on May 31, 2012, these products will no longer be available.  The entire line is being discontinued. That also includes our beautiful stencils, the other part of our Home Decor line.

This is a picture of Stem Silhouettes on my back door, leading out to my patio.  Not only does this Decor Element beautify my door, it keeps the birds from flying into it!  I love that something this lovely is also practical:) The item I used is:  Long-Stem Silhouette Large Décor Elements 114123.  I used white, which is perfect on windows, but this design is also available in chocolate and black.

A few things to remember when using Decor Elements vinyl wall art:

• You can use the self-adhesive just once.  Although you can remove the piece(s), you cannot reuse it.
• Our vinyl wall art will not harm your surface.  Use it with confidence!  I have successfully used Decor Elements on my sheetrocked walls, mirrors, even the window of my car!
• They come with instructions!  Decor Elements are super-easy to use, but there are instructions and even grid lines to help you line up your piece just the way you want it.

Blossom Punch

We made this card using the new Occasions Mini Catalog Blossom Punch (125410) as one of 11(!) Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference Make & Takes.  This is a quick and easy card, and I love it!  The bright color scheme and gorgeous flowers make it flirty and fun.  You can easily switch out the sentiment (words) to something else to suit other occasions. 

There are a few other details that bring this quick and easy card design together.  Notice the Mixed Bunch stamp set (125535 wood mount, 125537 clear mount).  This is another great example of Stampin' Up!'s coordinating products--Mixed Bunch and Blossom Punch (125603)--that bring sophistication and class to our handmade cards and other projects. Notice also the little yellow die cut flower on top of the white Blossom Punch (125603) flowers.  It is one of 48+ flowers, part of the Blossom Builders Designer Printed Kit (125410).  It, too, coordinates with the Blossom Punch (125603) and Mixed Bunch stamp set.  The little "cherry on top," so to speak, is the Jumbo Pearl (Large Pearl Basic Jewels 125577).  You can use any of these items alone or all together.  Either way you choose, you will have a profusion of gorgeous garden flowers--without getting any mud under your fingernails:)

Bordering on Romance in Wisteria

I absolutely love our In Colors, and I have paired up two for the main color scheme in this handmade card featuring Bordering On Romance.  I wanted a simple design and think I hit that mark with this card I made for a recent swap.

I did a little quick watercoloring on this handmade card using my Aquapainter and Ink Refills.  I love the way you can get a vibrant color with those re-inkers.  Notice also the sweet touch of embossed scallops here using the Adorning Accents Embossing Folders from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  The color scheme is

The center sample is the one I really want to highlight today with its combination of Take It To Heart and Loving Thoughts stamp sets.  As you can see in this sample, the hearts go well beyond weddings and Valentines Day.  They can go in lots of directions and so are extremely versatile for your handmade cards.  Its classic color scheme and simple design make this a quick and easy card.

Candy Conversations
