Grateful Bunch is one of many stamp sets on the Stamping' Up! Retiring List 2017. This is one of the projects we made in my April stamp club in San Antonio. Check out my club details here and let me know if you would like to join us for regular stamping fun! There are projects for both card-makers and scrapbookers, so you have options!
This is a "rubberstamp technique" card, employing the Clear Block Technique. It's quick and easy and brings a very artsy result. And it uses things you already have as a stamper: ink and a clear block. That's it. No extra tools or equipment. You can achieve more dramatic looks if you use contrasting inks. For this card, I went for an ombre look using Blushing Bride and Sweet Sugarplum.
Simply ink up one half of the clear block--yes, the block--with the lighter color. In this case, that is Blushing Bride. Now ink up the other end of the clear block with your contrasting color (in this case, that is Sweet Sugarplum) so that it is completely covered with ink. The colors can overlap. Now take your Stampin' Spritzer and spray lightly. The more water you add, the more the colors will run. The less water you have, the more you will get a speckled look--like what you see at the upper left and lower left corners of my piece. Now take your clear block and "stamp" it on your piece of Extra Thick Whisper White. That's it! I didn't even allow mine to dry before I stamped the large flower image from Grateful Bunch in the center. Quick and easy!
Today's card is feminine and pretty without being fussy. I had a Happy Mothers Day greeting for the inside for those that wished to make this into a Mothers Day card.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Remember that Grateful Bunch stamp set and coordinating Blossom Bunch punch are both retiring. The punch is half price! So grab them while you can. And please check out my stamp club in San Antonio. We would love for you to join us for regular, monthly stamping fun!
