If you like trendy, modern fonts, Perfectly Wrapped stamp set is perfect for you! It's on the Stampin' Up! Retiring List, so you can only get it through the end of May or while supplies last. It's a sweet, simple set with a few images to accent those great words. Although Perfectly Wrapped was featured as coordinating with the very cute Perfectly Wrapped Project Kit--which makes 8 cute bags and 8 cute boxes, I love it for card-making!
I created the card below for my monthly free event, Sip & Stamp. We meet at a local tea room and stamp a single card, sip some tea, and enjoy lots of creative chatter!
When I create, I need some parameters. If I just walk into my Studio with no direction, I'll usually walk back out hours later with little or nothing done. Parameters provide direction--and fuel--for my creativity! I knew I wanted to make something with soft colors. I knew I wanted to use Retiring In Colors (2015-2017 In Colors). And I knew I wanted to use Irresistibly Floral Designer Series Paper.
With those parameters in mind, I looked at my retiring stamp sets and knew Perfectly Wrapped was my perfect ticket with its perfect fonts and images! We had 10 ladies at Sip & Stamp, and this card was a hit! It's fun to make, and we all need thank you cards. They are my most-needed handmade cards.
Irresistibly Floral Designer Series Paper is a series of papers with different embossed designs. They are solid white and make quick work of the emboss resist technique. Just sponge on ink and you have customized papers to use on any project. Emboss resist technique is very cool rubberstamping technique whereby you put a heat-embossed image on card stock and then add ink with a sponge or aqua painter or other coloring vehicle. The heat embossed part "resists" the ink and brings lovely results. Irresistibly Floral DSP does the embossing for you, making it quicker than ever to have a cool rubberstamping technique on your project without the "work".
