Merry Patterns Meets Merry Music DSP-Stampin’ Up!

I have lots of merry for you today in a quick and easy Christmas card featuring the new Merry Patterns free hostess set (I'm in the midst of a mini blog series of posts featuring this new favorite) and Merry Music DSP (Designer Series Paper).

If you frequent my blog, you will notice that my handmade cards of choice are quick and easy as well as easy-mail (mail for a single stamp).  I make and mail lots of cards.  That combined with my ADD brain…quick and easy cards are the way I roll:)

If you are just happening onto Merry Patterns stamp set (free hostess gift Sept-Oct), I have some other posts to share with you here, here, and here.

A few things to consider with today's Christmas card:

  • I love neutrals!  With a mostly neutral palette, a little pop of color makes a big difference.  I went with Cherry Cobbler to tie into my Christmas theme.
  • When using Designer Series Papers (DSP), I mat them more often than not.  I find that it gives my cards a more finished look.  So I put what I call a micro layer of Basic Black around my DSP.  My "micro layers" are 1/8" mat frames giving just a touch of color.
  • Foil snowflakes provide a lot of wow factor with no effort at all!
