Count My Blessings Rubberstamp Set with Polished Stone Technique

Happy Thanksgiving!  I have a fall card for you today featuring Count My Blessings rubberstamp set from the Holiday Catalog and the Polished Stone Technique (on the leaves).  I really believe Count My Blessings rubberstamp set is a must-have.  The images go way beyond Thanksgiving, and I'll be sharing non-holiday projects with this awesome stamp set in the coming days.  So please come back!

There is lots of touchable texture in this handmade card plus the extra special touch of polished stone technique on the maple leaves.  So let me tell you how to do that and get these very special looking leaves:

1. Take Glossy White Card Stock.
2. Put rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball and 2 drops of ink refill from 2 different colors of your choice–I used Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry.
3. Dab the cotton ball all over the shiny side of the Glossy White Card Stock to make speckles.  If you blend them together you get more of a marbled look.  I kept my colors more distinct for higher contrast.  Because you use rubbing alcohol, the ink dries almost immediately.
4. Then run through the Big Shot with Seasonal Layers using the maple leaf thinlit.  
5. Take Copper Foil Sheet and run it through the Big Shot with the detailed maple leaf thinlit to form overlay.  

I think that the combination of the Copper Foil Sheets and polished stone technique makes really gorgeous autumn leaves.  They look special but come together quickly–just my style:)
