Today I'm sharing a quick and easy card with plenty of pizzazz thanks to the Rooted in Nature Bundle as well as the drop dead gorgeous Nature's Poem Designer Series Paper. My Rooted in Nature card idea sprang from the amazing colors in Nature's Poem DSP–leaves and nature images can take on a decidedly feminine look by using a feminine color scheme.
Here are a few things to note about my Rooted in Nature card idea:
- My card base is one of the new Stampin' Up! core colors–Petal Pink. There are sooo many awesome new colors, but I think Petal Pink is my absolute favorite! It's a soft, peachy pink and is so versatile and just plain lovely. I'm not usually in love with subtle colors. Petal Pink has won my heart:) Stampin' Up! paired it with Blackberry Bliss in Nature's Poem DSP for a bold contrast that draws you back again and again.
- My die-cut leaflets are made from my favorite of the shiny papers: Copper Foil Sheet. The dies that are part of the Rooted in Nature Bundle have an element in 3 of the leaf dies that will cut out AND emboss your leaves. Brilliant!
- I have a penchant for one-ink cards. Blackberry Bliss ink pad is the only one I used on this card! Stamp several times without re-inking to get multiple, beautiful shades of loveliness:)
