My new Scrapbook Class Series features 3 coordinating pages to mix and match as you see fit, and this month's scrapbook pages use Animal Outing and the coordinating Animal Expedition Designer Series Papers.
Here are just a few details of my scrapbook pages, perfect for pics of kids. I'll share another photo once I get my pictures popped in!
- 12" x 12" Neutrals Cardstock is a perfect backdrop for my pops of color in Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist. Those are both retiring In Colors, and I will really, really miss Lemon Lime Twist! I especially love its vibrancy when scrapbooking outdoor photos.
- When using heavily patterned Designer Series Papers in scrapbook pages, I like to choose one of those patterns to highlight. For the remaining Designer Series Paper pieces, I use the "B side" aka the subtle side. I never want to distract from my photos, so I keep strong patterns to a minimum.
- I may be in the minority, and maybe it's because I teach a lot of classes, but I actually prefer to make the scrapbook pages first and then find photos to fit. Otherwise, I spend all day trying to decide my layouts and which photos to use, color scheme, etc. It takes me way too long! For me, I usually start with Designer Series Paper and then go from there.
