Caroling Mice Card Ideas

carolingmicestampinupcandyrattrayCaroling Mice is such a cute stamp set, and I took it 2 very different directions for today's cards to showcase its awesome versatility.  The artwork is truly outstanding and perfect for those who enjoy a bit of coloring.

I like that you can take Caroling Mice to the cutesy side or to the elegant side.  There are no greetings in Caroling Mice, so just grab what you have to make the perfect wintry card or Christmas card.

Caroling Mice is a host exclusive stamp set in the July-December Mini Catalog.  Read about host rewards aka Stampin' Rewards here.  They begin with a $150 order--placed on your own or as a gathering of friends.

I featured both these designs at a local, in-person Christmas Card Class.  in fact, the class was an add-on class at my Creative Escape Summer Retreat. Creative Escape Retreats occur 4 times per year in San Antonio, TX at the Drury Inn Plaza Hotel, Stone Oak.  Check out details of my Creative Escape Winter Retreat here.

The pink mouse card was designed by one of my very talented team members Elaine Nigh.  Although Elaine doesn't hold classes and such, she is one of my Studio Helpers and an integral part of my Creative Escape Retreats.  I think her card is adorable and I was thrilled to add it my class lineup!

Welcome to the November issue of the Trip Achievers Blog Hop where demonstrators from across the globe connect and collaborate to inspire YOU with loads of creativity!

One of my favorite ways to design cards is to create a "this or that" where I make the same card more than once with slight changes.  This design style is the foundation of my monthly Twist Club/Class.  (Details of the Twist Club are here.)

Fitting Florets Collection (the gold swirls are already sold out:( is truly gorgeous in every way and super versatile.  I love, love, love the DSP!

Here are a few details of today's book binding fun fold cards:

  • I chose small patterns of DSP for both the larger piece (4" x 4") and the smaller piece (4" x 1") for maximum DSP viewing:)
  • I employed Stampin' Blends for the blue card--on the iridescent pearls as well as the green card--on the DSP
  • With DSP this gorgeous, I made it the star of the show!  A small greeting, a few die-cuts with Rose Gold Foil, a bit of ribbon, and a few pearls gave me a bit of nice detail without overpowering the main attraction.

That's it for today.  Please follow me on https://www.youtube.com/@Sweetstamper and Facebook.com/sweetstamper for weekly live demonstrations and plenty of crafty inspiration!  Now hop on to the next blog for more awesome creative inspiration!

Candy Cane Christmas Cards

I had so much fun playing with the Sweet Candy Canes bundle for my weekly Facebook Live (7PM CT).  Once again, I showcased the Dots & Spots Die which is a must-have IMHO for versatility.  I wanted to share both a soft and sweet candy cane Christmas card as well as a traditional red and green one.  The polka dot background via Dots & Spots Die works perfectly with the striped candy canes!

Here are a few details of my candy cane Christmas cards:

  1. Both sets of candy canes are die cuts from the Sweetest Christmas Designer Series Paper!
  2. Cross your candy canes more narrow or wide for the look you like best.
  3. Stack rhinestones on top of sequins for a glam look:)

Gift Bags for Christmas with Window Wishes Bundle

windowwishesstampinupcandyrattraychristmasgiftbagI created this classy gift bag for Christmas giving with a simple white bag from the Dollar Tree.  By dressing it up with pretty paper, stamps, and dies from Stampin' Up! I ended up with a beautiful handmade gift bag.  Not only does this make a lovely way to gift homemade goodies or other Christmas gifts, making up several of these and gifting the actual bags is another way to utilize this lovely project.

Everyone loves homemade/handmade at Christmas.  Give the gift of handmade and you will spread love, kindness, and joy to the world!

Christmas Cards with Dots & Spots Die

dotsandspotsdiestampinupcandyrattray
I had so much fun creating these quick and easy Christmas cards with very different looks using the same Dots & Spots die.  It's incredibly versatile!  Although at first look the Dots & Spots Die speaks of baby cards or birthday cards, I'm in a Christmas mood so I made a fun Christmas card and an elegant Christmas card to showcase versatility:)

My first card, the fun one, began with the gorgeous Scalloped Rectangle die.  From there it was just a matter of adding a layer with the awesome Dots & Spots Die and a few other bits and bobs.

For my elegant Christmas card I used a super soft color combo to achiever the elegant look still using the Dots & Spots Die.  Quick, easy, elegant--yeah.  This makes for a great Christmas card to make by the dozen:)

dotsandspotsdiestampinupcandyrattrayBe sure to click on the video below (recording of my weekly Facebook Live) to see tips and tricks for using the Dots & Spots Die as well as my creative process for these very different cards using the same versatile die.
