Cottage Wreaths Halloween Card Ideas

Cottage Wreaths Bundle is SO versatile, and I have FOUR Halloween card ideas to share with you today!  Once you make your wreath, you can add a little Halloween decoration or take it over the top with loads of extras!

By adding just about any largely black design of pretty patterned paper aka DSP, you have a background to set the Halloween feel.  With fun dies in the Cottage Wreaths Bundle, which can be used with or without the stamps, you have so many options.

  • My first and last cards have a super simple wreath.  Did you notice the spiders stamped directly on the DSP???!!!
  • My second and third cards are where I went crazy with just playing, adding die-cuts and bling so my wreaths were heavy on the embellishments:)

I've added my supply list below for reference and encourage you to follow me on YouTube and Facebook for weekly live demonstrations and plenty of crafty inspiration!

Simple Sympathy Cards with Inspired Thoughts

Sympathy cards are one of the kindest expressions of our heart when someone is grieving.  Long after the flowers have faded and family has gone home, sympathy cards remain to bring comfort and loving thoughts.  Our handmade sympathy cards bring serene beauty along with heartfelt works.

Personally, I have pretty strong views on what I want when I'm creating a sympathy card:

  • Simple is best.  This is not the time to showcase all kinds of bells and whistles.
  • No bright colors or high contrast for me.  I prefer a somber tone to accompany the enormous sense of loss.
  • No sparkle or shine either--this is not the time for glitz and glamor.  A little bit of subtle shine is nice, but this is not the time for bling.
  • Monochromatic or all neutral color palettes work really well for my sympathy cards.

Click here for the free Inspiration Sheet for the cards shown here.  Be sure to watch my video demonstration to see my punch trick to make this simple, elegant punched shape from the Label Me Lovely Punch.

Halloween Card Idea

I fell in love with Yeti to Party stamp set in the July-December Catalog; and then Stampin' Up! released dies for September only as part of the Perfect Partners campaign.  If you love the yeti, you must get the dies!  To make it even better, there is a Yeti to Party Bundle which saves you 10%:)

I created this super cute, and fun!, card on Facebook Live.  I was totally inspired by a swap I received at the recent Stampin' Up! BackStage conference (leadership event).  Making the yeti into a monster makes this stamp set even more versatile--and that is a constant theme for me.

All Stampin' Up! supplies are listed and linked below for your convenience.  Although this could be categorized as a kid's card, I think it is guaranteed to bring a smile to any one of any age!  And that makes my heart very happy:)

Hope & Peace Card Ideas

Blog Hop-Trip Achievers Hope&peacecardideasstampinupcandyrattray
Welcome to the September Edition of the Trip Achievers Blog Hop where top achieving Stampin' Up! demonstrators across the globe join together to inspire YOU with creative awesomeness!

You are at Candy Rattray, sweetstamper.com.  The full list of participating blogs is at the very end of this post.  Below that you will find the Stampin' Up! supplies I used for today's project share.

I created a set of 5 cards and a gift tag with Peace & Hope stamp set (July-December Mini Catalog) along with Christmas Seasons (annual catalog) for Christmas cards and gift-giving.  Click on the video below to see all the projects.

Today I'm sharing one of the cards which really evokes a sense of peace, calm, and comfort.  During the holidays, I'm especially aware of my friends who have lost loved ones.  The holiday season can be bittersweet as the overwhelming sense of loss comes.  I endeavor to send cards to them with the explicit purpose of uplifting and encouraging them, sending them comfort and even joy.  Hope&peacecardideasstampinupcandyrattray

Here are a few things that make my Hope & Peace card idea work:

  • With mostly Soft Sea Foam and PearPizzazz, a small pop of Poppy parade is very welcome.
  • The white sequins (from Seasonal Sequins) bring out the white background in both patterns of DSP.
  • The white sequins as well as the Glittered White Organdy Ribbon bring a soft, subtle shine that speaks of the special season without being too bright and brash.

All Stampin' Up! supplies are listed and linked below for your convenience.  Be sure to click on my video to see all 5 Hope & Peace card ideas plus a really sweet gift tag.  Now, hop on over to the next blog on the hop:
