Heartfelt Bundle Card Idea

heartfeltbundlestampinupminicatalogcandyrattray
Although Valentine's Day and the whole month of February celebrate love, love is always in season:)  Heartfelt Bundle is a winner for making quick and easy cards with plenty of pizzazz.  Add in the Designer Series Paper, Heart Doilies, and Real Red Stitched Satin Ribbon from the suite and you have coordination that makes creating simple, carefree, and beautiful!  Today's share is a Heartfelt Bundle card idea that comes together very quickly.

I created this love card for a class recently and specifically made it to go beyond Valentine's Day.  You could easily add a Valentine's Day greeting to the inside...or a Happy Anniversary or Just Because. Celebrating holidays is a must with handmade cards, but I love handmade cards that are versatile enough to go beyond specific holidays.

This is what I did with the inside of my love card for class:

Here are my quick notes about today's handmade card:

  • I absolutely love using the Heart Doilies on the inside of my cards!  They are the perfect way to dress up the inside and also bring an unexpected element.
  • Classic Label Punch is probably my most-oft used punch in my entire craft room.  I love using just a piece of it!
  • From My Heart Specialty DSP has a strong pattern which I mimicked with my stamping.  To keep things from being too structured, I scattered rhinestones randomly.

Bloom & Grow in Spring Colors

Bloom & GrowAAfter sharing all Sale-a-Bration and Mini Catalog projects last week, I thought to kick off this week with a handmade card featuring Bloom & Grow Bundle using all annual catalog products.  This beautiful bundle is versatile with flower images that can be colored according to the season and some great sentiments.

Let me point out a few things about my card:

  1. My color scheme highlights one of this year's In Colors--Rococo Rose--teamed up Mint Macaron and So Saffron for a soft, springy color palette.
  2. Look at the mix of print and script fonts in my sentient!  I love what it says as well as the way it looks:)
  3. The subtle patterns in the 6 x 6 DSP patterns (available in every single Stampin' Up! color collection) is a perfect backdrop when you want your focal point to really stand out.  For my card, I used the Subtles Collection.

Although there are some seasonal items in the annual catalog (aka the big book:), it's primarily filled with things you will use all year.  I think of them as workhorse products--those things we use all year, no matter the season.  Every single product in today's card is in the annual catalog.

If you do not have your own copy of the annual catalog, contact me today and we will talk about the best way to get one into your hands asap!

When you purchase the Bloom & Grow Bundle right now ($53), you earn a free Sale-a-Bration item!  The free selections are found here.  Now is the best time to purchase those annual catalog (or any items at all!) because you get something free with every $50 spend.

Power of Hope Card Idea

powerofhopebundlestampinupsaleabration2020candyrattrayI've been featuring Power of Hope Bundle here on my blog all week.  It's one of the FREE selections available during Sale-a-Bration 2020.  Click here to see all the free options.

I kicked it off Monday with a bookmark, and then I shared my simple notecard -both these projects use just the stamp set.  Then I shared a card idea that uses both the Power of Hope stamp set and Stone 3D Embossing Folder.  Today I have one more Power of Hope card idea for you.  That gives you 4 ideas for using this extremely versatile and FREE bundle!

Pagoda Close UpI created all 4 of these projects for my recent Stamp Camp in San Antonio.  I host one of these all-day stamping events with the release of each new catalog, and we always make 16 projects.  They give you the opportunity to experience many new products to see which ones are best for you.  Save the date for my next one:  June 13th.

Let me point out a few features of today's Power of Hope card idea:

  1.  Once again, I used Parisian Blossoms Designer Series Paper, tapping into those gorgeous cherry blossoms which are a natural for Japanese inspired designs.  It doesn't really show up in my pic, but there is champagne foiling throughout the DSP which brings a LOT of shine and pizzazz:)
  2. Again, not sure it shows up in the photo, but I heat embossed the pagoda image to bring more shine and that rich, black lacquer look to my design.  To add to that, I used a micro layer of Black Foil Sheet around the pagoda image.
  3. I used Stone 3D Embossing Folder on the bottom layer and popped up the entire layer on Stampin' Dimensionals to really showcase the texture.

Power of Hope Card Idea

powerofhopestampinupsaleabration2020candyrattrayI'm featuring Power of Hope Bundle here on my blog all week.  I kicked it off Monday with a bookmark.  You can see that post here.  Yesterday I shared my simple notecard which you can see here using just the stamp set.  Today's card is another simple card, this time using both the Power of Hope stamp set and Stone 3D Embossing Folder.  And tomorrow I have one more Power of Hope card idea for you.  That gives you 4 ideas for using this extremely versatile and FREE stamp set!

The Power of Hope Bundle includes the Power of Hope Cling Stamp Set and Stone 3D Embossing Folder. Pair the stamp set and embossing folder for artistic coordination--like I did here--or use them separately for even more options--like I did on my previous two posts. Earn Power of Hope craft bundle FREE with a qualifying purchase January 3–March 31, 2020, during the Sale-A-Bration 2020 promotion!

So now that you know ALL about the Power of Hope Bundle, let me point out a few things in today's Power of Hope Card Idea:

  • I paired the bundle with Parisian Blossoms Designer Series Paper.  It features cherry blossoms--very important in Japanese culture--which are a perfect complement to this bundle!
  • The black strip running down the center of my card is the Black Foil Sheet.  it's shiny and simple which is another perfect touch for my handmade card.
  • Stone 3D Embossing Folder is such a nice touch of texture!  I wanted it to be a prominent feature, so I kept everything else pretty simple.

Power of Hope-Simple Notecard

powerofhopebundlestampinupsaleabration2020candyrattrayI love Stampin' Up! notecards for their size and quality.  They mail for a single stamp and have just enough space for a short message.  I created this super simple notecard featuring just the stamps from Power of Hope Bundle for my recent Stamp Camp in San Antonio. I host one with every Stampin' Up! catalog release, and the next one is June 13th--so save the date!

I'm featuring Power of Hope Bundle here on my blog all week.  I kicked it off Monday with a bookmark.  You can see that post here.  Today I'm sharing my simple notecard, and the next 2 posts will be handmade cards. The Power of Hope Bundle includes the Power of Hope Cling Stamp Set and Stone 3D Embossing Folder. Pair the stamp set and embossing folder for artistic coordination (you will see that in the next 2 cards), or use them separately for even more options--like I did here and on yesterday's post. Earn Power of Hope craft bundle FREE with a qualifying purchase January 3–March 31, 2020, during the Sale-A-Bration promotion!

Let me point out a few things in my Power of Hope simple notecard:

  1.  I stamped the tree image repeatedly--sometimes re-inking my stamp and sometimes no--for varied shades of Bermuda Bay.
  2. I used Black Foil Sheet to cut out my word from Word Wishes dies.  to give a nice bit of shine.  It's also reminiscent of black lacquer furniture--at least in my mind!
  3. I used Stampin' Blends to color in the lady.  They bleed through the cardstock. If desired, cut a 4-3/4" x 3-1/4" piece of Whisper White and adhere to inside of notecard front.

Power of Hope Bookmark with Support Ribbon

Maui Blog HopWelcome to the January edition of Maui Trip Achievers Blog Hop where top Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all over the world share their projects with you to inspire YOUR creativity!

Power of Hope Bundle is a real beauty and it's totally free during Sale-a-Bration!  In fact, you can only get it for free--it's not for sale. I'll be featuring 3 cards here on my blog this week with Power of Hope Bundle, but I wanted to start with this super sweet and simple bookmark.  I adore the saying here because it speaks powerful truth in just a few words.

powerofhopestampinupsaleabrationcandyrattrayI tapped into the very versatile die set Support Ribbons to tie into Breast Cancer Awareness.  But you could easily change up the colors on this project to bring awareness to any of the many causes that support ribbons help bring.

Click here to see one of the more extensive lists of support ribbon colors and consider making a simple bookmark like this--or do an event and let people make their own--to bring awareness to a condition that tugs on your own heart.

Let me point out a couple of features of my Power of Hope Bookmark:

  1. That tiny little support ribbon is from a great set of dies:  Support Ribbon Dies.  There is not a coordinating stamp set--just great dies you can use for 3D items, cards, scrapbook pages, and more.  Two hearts a flower, support ribbons in 2 sizes, and a leaf--versatile images for sure!
  2. Do you spy, with your little eye, a different punch shape?  Why, yes you do!  My red punched shape is from the brand new Label Me Lovely Punch in the Jan-June Mini Catalog.  It's 2" width fits my bookmark perfectly:)
  3. From My Heart DSP is gorgeous for Valentines Day but also more!  This striped paper is perfect for breast cancer or heart awareness.  But it's also just pretty:)

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  After a bit of a hiatus, it's good to be back to regular blogging.  Be sure to subscribe to my blog so you don't miss the next three posts, all sharing Power of Hope Bundle projects.

Thoughtful Blooms Card Idea

Thoughtful Blooms is one of the FREE stamp sets available during Sale-a-Bration.  I demonstrated this card on my Tuesdays @ 2 Facebook Live on 1-7-20 using Thoughtful Blooms stamp set with coordinating Small Bloom Punch, Golden Honey DSP, Sequins & Twine Embellishment Pack--all free products during Sale-a-Bration. Get these products for FREE when you place a qualifying order during the Sale-A-Bration promotion (January 3–March 31, 2020). See all the choices here!  And then shop here: http://bit.ly/sweetstamperstore!

Thoughtful Blooms in black

The black, white, red, and gold color scheme plus the use of the images and layers gives my handmade card a bit of an Asian feel.  It brings to mind those beautiful silk panel screens you hang on the wall--in fact, we had one in our home growing up which came from my dad's many overseas travels as an army officer.  Although Thoughtful Blooms stamp set (FREE during Sale-a-Bration) can look cute as shown below, I took it in a different direction for dressy and elegant vibe.

I love stamps that have that kind of versatility!

Thoughtful Blooms

Here are a few things about my quick and easy--but elegant--Thoughtful Blooms card:

  1. EVERYTHING used on this card except the cardstock and circle punches is FREE!  That's right, I used stamps, punch, DSP, and sequins that were all free!  I do love Sale-a-Bration:)
  2. If you flip the DSP over it changes the card ENTIRELY.  It's also lovely, but much more understated.  Watch the video to see!
  3. Use the Take Your Pick tool for the easiest way to place sequins on your handmade cards.  I love using sequins as they are flat and therefore mail easily.  But picking them up with your fingers is for the birds! LOL!  Watch the way I use Take Your Pick on the video demonstration.  This is a tool you MUST HAVE!!!
